Mo Brooks Wins Republican Nomination in AL05

Mo Brooks won the Republican nomination for Congress in the 5th District of Alabama, defeating incumbent Congressman Parker Griffith and challenger Les Phillip.

Mo Brooks finished with 51% of the vote, compared with 33% for Griffith and 16% for Phillip. Not only did Mr. Brooks defeat an incumbent Congressman who massively outspent him, but he also won without a runoff in a 3-person race.  Both Parker Griffith and Les Phillip called Mr. Brooks to congratulate him.
